Till Christ Be Formed in Every Heart

Passion Meets Prophecy

And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, thou knowest.” Again he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

History

Spending years in youth ministry work, and highlighting on the side as a Catholic speaker and retreat leader, I realized that the problems in the parishes that I was seeing were systemic and widespread. There was apathy in the pews, frustration in the offices, and exhaustion by the clergy. Priests and people alike are all wondering the same thing, "Is this it? Is this all Christianity has to offer?"

I launched LayEvangelist.com in the hopes of having a public place to write about what I was seeing in my travels, which was back then just an infrequent side hustle. Now that I travel 2-5 times a month for all sorts of events, my mission to the Church has definitely evolved a great deal.

I'm still inspired by the tireless example of Saint John Paul II and his writings. I'm still driven to make known the actual teachings and desires of the Second Vatican Council, especially on the vocation and mission of the laity. But now I just have a lot more experience and a lot more to offer than I did as a 28 year old who thought he knew everything.

This is not church. This is not the new evangelization. Let's work together to change this today!
